About Us

A beloved village tradition since 1974, the Welwyn Festival takes place every year toward the end of June, raising thousands of pounds for local charities and community projects.

Festival Week Highlights

The festivities officially kick off on the morning of our first Saturday with a vibrant Street Market, located on Codicote Road just next to St Mary’s Church. Throughout the week, the entire village comes alive with a variety of events, including local art exhibitions, while our wonderful local pubs join the celebration by offering special menus.

The Grand Finale: Parade & Family Fun Day

The week culminates in a spectacular weekend finale. Starting at 1:00 PM at the southern end of the village, our grand street parade marches north through the High Street, passing the church and making its way to Singlers Marsh (off Fulling Mill Lane). The arrival of the parade officially heralds the start of our much-loved Family Fun Day!
