The annual Fancy Dress Parade precedes the Family Fun Day on the final Saturday of Welwyn Festival Week.
All the schools, nurseries and other children’s/youth groups of Welwyn Parish are invited to take part in the Welwyn Street Parade. This is a colourful community event.
Annual Event details:
Check at your local school, nursery or children’s group for the costume plan for your group.
Everyone lines up in their school, nursery or community group. Line up is at 12.45pm outside the civic centre on the second Saturday of Welwyn Festival week.
To ensure all children can be seen in the parade, the ratio of adults to children should be no more than 1:1.
The parade sets off at 1pm and progresses along Welwyn High Street to Singlers Marsh, ending at the site of the Family Fun Day.
