The Welwyn Festival was started in 1974. Its main purpose is to bring local people together to enjoy and participate in a wide variety of events and activities to enjoy being part of the community and to support and money for local charities.  Each year the committee work hard to make sure we include as many different activities as we can to generate money for the good causes we support.

The good news is during lockdown we were able to donate just over £8,000 to local charities.
This was helped by Welwyn Festival Float Team and Garden City Runners.

This year we are supporting the following local charities with money raised from our events, sponsors and donations:
Essex and Herts Air Ambulance
Hertfordshire Disabled Cricket Organisation
Herts Domestic Abuse Helpline
Home Instead
Herts Young Homeless
Isabel Hospice
The Inclusion Project
QVM Hospital

The charities are put forward by the committee, or can contact us directly to ask if we can support them.
